Returns & Refunds Policy

1. General Policy

Platinum International Co. for Industrial Technology specializes in supplying industrial spare parts globally. Due to the nature of our products (technical, high-value, and often sourced upon request), returns and refunds are subject to strict conditions outlined below.

2. Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal applies to:

  • Companies and commercial customers (including those with valid VAT / Tax Registration numbers)
  • Private consumers, where applicable by law

The withdrawal request must be submitted within 14 days from delivery.

This right DOES NOT apply to:

  • Resellers or traders purchasing for resale purposes
  • Customers acting as intermediaries or brokers
  • Orders identified as bulk trading or redistribution purchases

To request withdrawal, the customer must contact:

Including:

  • Order number
  • Product details
  • Reason for return
  • Full customer contact details

3. Return Authorization (RMA)

  • All returns require prior written approval from Platinum International
  • A Return Authorization (RMA) will be issued

⚠️ Returns without RMA will be automatically rejected

  • Issuing RMA does NOT confirm defect or acceptance of claim
  • All returned goods are subject to inspection and technical evaluation:
    • 1–7 working days (standard items)
    • Up to 15 working days (industrial / complex items)

4. Return Conditions

Returned products must:

  • Be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
  • Include original packaging, seals, and labels intact
  • Be packed with proper external protection

⚠️ Refund will be rejected if:

  • Product has been used, installed, or tested
  • Packaging is damaged or missing
  • Item shows any signs of handling beyond inspection
  • Products are modified or tampered with

5. Return Shipping (DDP Requirement)

  • All returns must be shipped under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Incoterms

This means:

  • All duties, taxes, customs clearance, and shipping costs must be fully paid by the customer
  • Platinum International will not accept any shipment with pending charges

Additional requirements:

  • Shipment must be trackable
  • Shipment must be fully insured (mandatory for items above $500)

⚠️ Any return sent under DAP / EXW / unpaid terms will be refused automatically

  • Return must be completed within 14 days from RMA approval

6. Non-Returnable Cases

Returns are NOT accepted in the following cases:

  • Incorrect order by customer
  • Change of mind (for reseller / trader cases)
  • Refusal to pay customs duties or taxes
  • Special order / non-stock items
  • Electrical or electronic components once opened or installed
  • Surplus, used, or refurbished products (unless proven defective)

7. Order Cancellation

Before Shipment

  • Allowed only if order has not entered processing stage
  • Must be approved by Platinum International

After Processing

Cancellation may include:

  • Administrative fees
  • Supplier procurement costs
  • Shipping / logistics costs
  • Banking & currency fees

⚠️ A penalty up to 40% of order value may apply depending on order status

Cancellation becomes effective only after customer approval of applicable charges.

8. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only after:

  • Successful inspection of returned goods
  • Approval of product condition

Refund method:

  • Same original payment method (bank transfer / card / PayPal)

Deductions may apply for:

  • Handling fees
  • Damages or depreciation
  • Missing packaging

9. Products Damaged in Transit

Upon delivery, customer must:

Before accepting:

  • Check packaging condition
  • Verify number of packages

If damage is visible:

  • Refuse delivery OR
  • Sign with note:
    “Received with reservation – package damaged”

Customer must:

  • Keep original packaging
  • Notify us immediately

Failure to follow these steps voids claim eligibility.

10. Incorrect Address / Failed Delivery

  • Customer is responsible for correct shipping details
  • Any re-shipping or correction costs will be charged

⚠️ No refund will be issued in such cases

11. Customs & Refused Shipments

  • All outgoing shipments are under DAP terms

⚠️ If shipment is refused due to:

  • Unpaid customs duties
  • Taxes or clearance

Then:

  • Return costs + penalties will be charged
  • Refund may be reduced or denied

12. Limitation of Liability

Platinum International is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of business or profit
  • Delays caused by couriers, customs, or third parties

13. Important Notice

  • All returns are subject to strict approval
  • Policy is designed to protect against misuse, abuse, and false claims
